40 Days of Praying

For the Voiceless

Ever since the Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade legalized abortion in 1973, the blood of millions of unborn children has cried out to God. Who will be the voice for these defenseless infants?

As Christians, you and I are called to be “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Cor. 5:20). We must articulate God’s views to those within God’s kingdom and to those living outside of it. We must vote for courageous pro-life candidates and support causes that protect the unborn. We must also show the love of Christ to women who are contemplating abortion and help them in practical ways. If you know a women in crisis, take time to listen to her and meet her needs. Taker her to a local pregnancy center for counseling and help.

With God’s help, we can work together to end the abomination that is abortion. God expects nothing less from us.

A Prayer for America

Lord Jesus, Your heart weeps for the millions of unborn babies murdered in our country every year. You have been patient with us, giving us decades to repent. Heavenly Father, change the hearts of Americans to see abortion for the evil that it is. Give courage and urgency to our lawmakers to protect Your innocent image bearers. Touch the hearts of mothers who are considering aborting their babies, and help them see that every child is a gift from You. If they are unable or unwilling to take care of their babies, then show them that adoption is the loving option. Show me ways I can care for and support these mothers during their pregnancies, and make clear if You want me to adopt a child. Raise up Christians across our nation who are also willing to help these mothers and care for their children. Bring those who have participated in abortion to repentance, and let them know that You offer mercy, forgiveness, and healing through Your Son, Jesus Christ. In His name we pray, amen.
