40 Days of Praying

For Those Deceived by False Religions

By October 26, 2020No Comments

Today, the claim that there is only one way to God draws criticism in America. “How arrogant! How hateful!” they say. But these same critics ignore the fact that most world religions claim they are the only way. They can’t all be right.

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6). Many modern leftists would decry Jesus as a bigot if they met Him on the street today. But God is under no obligation to provide many ways to heaven. He has graciously provided one way to be saved from sin—through Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:1–4).

In America, we are blessed to have many nations and faiths in our country. And they may be great people by worldly standards. But if they have not placed their trust in Jesus as revealed in the Bible for the forgiveness of their sins, then they are headed to an eternity separated from God. Ask God to remove the veil from their eyes. And ask God to help you share the gospel with them, gently correcting any misconceptions they may have about Jesus.

A Prayer for America

Heavenly Father, Your Word says that Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He has blinded the eyes of unbelievers. Father, please remove the veil from their eyes to see the glory in Christ Jesus, Your only begotten Son. Bring them to spiritual life to see the truth of Your Word by the Holy Spirit. Prick their conscience over sin and their need for a Savior. May they see Your love shining in me, and may I be ready to share the reason for my hope with gentleness and respect. Thank You for saving me, and through Your Holy Spirit, save those around me. In Your name I pray, Lord Jesus. Amen.

He who believes in Him [Jesus] is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
